So ... this guy at work reminds me much, very much, of a brother-in-law. Which brother-in-law you might ask. I will hint:
He listens to talk radio, quotes it, then asks others -- as though they were listening similtaneously with him. Razzle-frazzle-babble-gumble? Uh ... I just don't know guy! This man's wit is quick ... makes little cartoonish "woo-hoo" noises -- funny, as he is really timid as a general rule. Given the chance, I'm sure he'd exhaust your ears with opinions and annecdotes and "long story, making it longer".
Yes, Jim ... somehow you got transplanted, in some small way, to my workplace.
