notice of correction

Hold your horses!

OK! If you got an invitation for Tom and Lois' 50th anniversary, there will be a slight change in the time frame. This time notice will be mailed out shortly. The first printing of the invitations showed an "unworkable" time. So, it will run about 3.5 hours and the times will be listed on the mailed correction. Thank you for your patience.

pluggers do it ...

Well, it matters if you know the comic strip, anyway ...

Thomas and Lois noticed a gutter was clogged, second story of their house. Let's get Marcus! So, Marcus went up to unclog it. It was not easy. Thomas passed up the toilet snake and after many minutes of fighting with it, Marcus got most of it clear. He was also rained on by the backwash from the gutter. Yummy!

Tom and Lois also drove to Ohio today to see a reception. The couple married in a very small ceremony a couple of weeks ago.

Hunting?

Lois was looking for birds that she heard in the distance.
Her blood sugar got a little low and her hip was hurting, so she stopped for a spell.
What looks like a camera case is a purse.
No, Lois was carrying a chair on which she sat to rest.

Weekend update

Well, Diane, Bethy, and Marcus talked about plans. Diane and Marcus spent hours, making a few errors, trying to finish their work. At the end of the day with the work mostly done, they met up with Lois, Thomas, and Joe at Logan's for food. Well, with free peanuts, no one left without a bloated stomach.

Diane and Marcus returned to do more work and so ... around 10:30, they finished that step. Jim joined them and they watched National Treasure 2. Marcus will simply the movie: take Indiana Jones traps, mix with Carmen Sandiego theme of National Treasure, stir in complete unbelievability and you have it. Plot can be found on page 47, aka National Treasure 3. The player stopped just 4 minutes from the end, in the "epilogue" part of the movie. We had to dissemble the player to retrieve the disc. After many minutes, the ending wasn't worth the fight.

Thomas and Lois played cards with friends on Friday and the "boys" won the first game then were thoroughly spanked thereafter either by luck or skill. The girls won again. Lois only had one weekend day of hellish blood sugar levels.

Today, Thomas and Marcus took a short walk then returned to help Lois work on the flower beds. Wow! It is improved, but will take lots of effort to keep weeded and grass free.

During the week, Thomas got to golf in windy weather. It seems the wind conspires against the golfers as they have had windy Tuesdays and Wednesdays, much to their chagrin.

Marcus' walk

I know dandelions are weeds, but it has a certain beauty ... as well as an ant shouting, "To infinity and beyond" before using it to fly to find other bugs.

50th Anniversary

Thomas and Lois will be celebrating their 50th year together. Learn from that Hollywood!

July 5th, 2008
Botanical Conservatory, Fort Wayne, IN

I am trying to alert the out-of-towners who will be getting an invitation soon. It is a fairly small gathering for family and friends, the list of which was compiled by Thomas and Lois.

+ Worst case scenario, there is a 2nd optional date at a different location. These details as well as driving directions, where to park, RSVP card insert will all be mailed to you very soon.

God Bless!

Rusty

Thomas and Lois have a service with Terminnex and the service provider is Rusty. Well, sometimes you might wonder if that is regarding his memory, for it is scratched. He talked for quite a while before working. And he wonders why he was late getting to the folks' house? If chatting were RPM on the truck, then he would be early consistently.

He was an openly religious man, though, thankfully not preachy.

mised up days

Jessica head-butted Zane's nose.

OK. On Wednesday, there was a collective of birthdays: Jessica, Joe, Thomas. There was also a belated Mother's Day. So, here are some photos.
