the sound that I heard last year with the hummingbirds. I am not so lucky this year, but have seen more of them, I think. There are two feeders and generally, the green iredescent birds will feed every hour for a few seconds at a time. This morning I saw a ruby-throated male, but didn't have my camera to get him on film. That's a shame. He'll be back.
Last year to Thomas, Lois, and Marcus' surprise we found that hummingbirds make noise. Soemtimes it is an angry loud noise (reletively speaking) when they are battling for their position in line for drinking. They exhaust more energy fighting that they could ever acquire from feeding sips for seconds. Crazy, silly things!
