new job!
I was called today by the company.
I want to give 2 week notice to my work.
I'm offered better pay, hours, and in town.
2008 has started wonderfully.

leaky no more
Well, the van was leaking a bit of oil and after another spin with the auto shop this year ... the van, she is fixed. Apparently it is at an age when it might "nickel and dime" or rather hundred and thousand you to death. It is a good van, no major trouble, but the aged thing is near retirement.
In other news, Lois is finishing up with PT and seems better for it, though she generally comes home tired -- sore, knowing that this is a needful thing.
Thomas has had the chance to golf in the golf dome -- dare not golf in the sub-zero weather, I dare venture. Some of the poker group are still in Florida and places, therefore poker is rare.

Answering a question
Yes, the event was funny at the time.
I had an exceptional half day today. I had a really good interview for a local job.
On the way to meet up with a friend in my work town, I got emails from other friends...
they work with a young lady, who is single.
Although everything kinda fell apart when I got to work, it was a glorious several hours.
Thanks God; a visit in Eden.

no lights, police come, whoa
I was talking with a friend and pulled into a gas station last night. I didn't want to pump gas and talk on the cell phone at the same time, so I stayed in the car and talked. I turned off the engine. Well, the attendant at the station apparently was wondering my plans.
I was talking away then saw a squad car behind me. I told my friend I had to go. I opened the door at the officer's request and told him directly that I didn't want to pump gas while talking on the phone.
5...4...3...2...1...
ok
And the officers turned around and returned to their cars. It was only then that I saw three cars there. The statement that they made to me was, "we wanted to make sure there wasn't anything wrong".
I thought second that the attendant likely thought I might be a robber, though robbers tend not to park so far away and turn off their engines.
So, if you want to fill up your tank ... do so, don't loiter, less the same happen to you
seeking multiplicity
If only there were more of me -- guided by just one of me. I could get so much more done. I have so many things that I have to be doing ... all at once.
I available to no one ... looking for another job ... training at present job ... getting closer to new friend
I don't sleep much ... weary, where am I going?
factions at work and the will be a change in staff
flake being trained as was I ... worse still, not a a hard worker -- he's a perfect fit for the others who will be his "peers" or visual loafers

zombie-like state
now a movie, but the last few nights, I've been up til 6am ...
then up again after "rest" to start my day then off to work
Today was no exception, save a call about an interview. I'm interested, but not too excited. It is a stable job ... regular hours, in town. The question is ... what does it pay?

Floating kitties
Debbie called me while she was on her way to work as was I. Apparently she had a flood from a sump pump that quit. In 3.5 hours, 2 inches a water filled the fairly large basement. The kitties, a nice secluded spot from the happy, hippy, tumble dog, were watching the epic.
Mew, mew, uh people ... we, don't much like the water. Thanks for the indoor pool and all, but we'll pass. Thanks! I understand that the litter boxes were flotillas on the new gulf which was a basement.
Thankfully, Debbie concluded that few precious things were lost, but many other things had to be pitched. That's a shame! Thankfully, the kitties are wash and wear and despite their disapproval of the watery invasion, they are ok. I think that they might be even less inclined to go body surfing in their adult cat lives.
Cats can be washed and they are self cleaning. If only my clothes and car was.

Happy New Year and a Christmas in shifts
We had our typical Christmas over several days. I thank everyone for being able to make it; make it a great time together; and for the love we share. For all the family, I will burn a CD of all the photos I have and send it out. I love you all; it was great to be with you, despite my having to work.
I looked at the photos and put together a collage. There were many funnier pictures, but this is what I got.
Merry Christmas!
